filled the car up to 50 clicks

today when went to fill the car up with its life juice, it starting clicking when only had put £2.50 in, and then it clicked after every 50 p,

felt like a right dick filling the car up

i tried lots of differnt ways to try and stop it clicking, what have people done to make it work when they have had it happen?

I can confirm calling it a ******* ******* *** does not help

Kick the wheel, waggle the pump and call it names none of this helps the car but it makes you feel better.

In all seriousness - both times its happened to me I have taken the nozzle out, put the cap back on and tried again. It worked but I have no idea why... Possibly releases some kind of air lock?

Happened to me once, I swore as if I stood on a plug barefooted... Needless to say I got some very 'disapproving' looks :lol:

When I've had it click early once or twice I've taken then fuel nozzle out waited a few seconds then gone back to it and its been fine.
