Just went to fill the 133 up.

Usually not a problem ( apart from the price!)

anyways, got the nozzle in, and it was cutting out constantly...like evert 20p or so.

Took the nozzle out and put it back in again and it worked properly.... although it cut out again at £36. Now the tank was pretty much empty so i know it was gunna cost at least £42 as per usual... but it wouldnt let me put in anymore

is this an issue with the car or just the filling station??
it was a bp garage..

hope its not the car!!

I would say a issue with the pump ive had this before at my local shell garage they tryed a different pump no issues

This happened to me a few times but I've noticed that pushing the nozzle up a bit gets over the problem, guessing if it's too horrizontal it hits off the tubing and makes the nozzle think it's full

It could be the pump as sometimes I've used them and they're ridiculously sensitive and keep cutting off.

Sometimes you just get an air bubble that causes the pump to click off as I've had that occur a few times in previous cars. You stand there like a t1t, 'click, click, click' filling the car up 50p at a bloody time!! haha.

Wouldn't have thought it's a fault with the car though, can't think of much that could go wrong that would prevent if filling.

Just had my 133 sport fixed after this issue got worse , it was taking me over 20 minutes and still couldn't get a full tank , very frustrating . Cost me around £200 but at least it's sorted now, did google this and it seems a few other people had this issue but it wasn't confined to Twingo !

So what did they fix/do then?

It was a new pipe and filter down to the fuel tank , apparently when they took the old one off it was filled with dirt so they also drained the tank to prevent that going into the system . On opening the fuel cap it was oblivious a new pipe and filter had been fitted . The work was carried out by a Renault dealer , brought car back all cleaned and waxed too .

Update 29/11/16 This issue reared its head again a couple of weeks back until I couldn't get more than 3 bars on the display . I was dubious about taking back to Renault as I felt he money I'd spent nearly 18 months ago was not going to be spent again plus they'd want to take it away and I need my car for work ! Booked in with a garage my partner and I use which just around the corner from where I work . He only only had it 1/2 a day , removed fuel filler neck and breather , checked for obstructions , blew through with an airline as well as checking the fuel sender unit to check the amount of fuel on the gauge was correct which it was . He took it to the petrol station and filled it up with no issues . Cost was less than half of what Renault charged me last year including the fuel he fiilled my car with . If this happens again methinks this car is going which is shame as I enjoy driving it but I've never had this with any of my previous cars . My partner drives a Clio initial and has never had this issue either .
