Anybody else watching Atlantis? All still 'go' at the moment with roughly half an hour before launch.

(lots of replay clips happening on the NASA site at the moment.)

are they bring in the new Flying wing shuttle design now? if not those nerds up in the station got one hell of a space/sky dive to earth when they run out of food. hehe

i can picture the realisation and conversations of the astronauts. "Awwww there goes the shuttle on its last every re-entry"
"last?"
"Yeah, there grounding the fleet"
"But dont they give us a ride home and bring us food?"
"Yes, so whats your point......oh wait....f***"
"c***s!"

From now on, they will be using Russian Soyuz-type capsules for all trips to the ISS.

[Old Fart]I remember watching the FIRST Shuttle Launch from a pub near my Sixth Form College way back when (and yes, they did have colour TV back then).

AND I remember watching them land on the moon (check out when THAT happened!!!) - but that was in black and white!!!

Oh, yes - the level of detailed information makes it COMPLETELY undeniable.

Even as a small boy I can remember there being a tremendous amount of detail about the whole thing.

At its peak over 400,000 people in the US were working on Project Apollo.

With the best will in the world. the CIA would NOT have been able to prevent leaks if it wasn't true.

I still look up at the moon and think it's amazing that "we" have been there.
