I was at Croft yesterday for an afternoon with the I.A.M on a skills training day on track. My mate is an advanced driver trainer (retired traffic cop) and a bloody good driver, it was his idea to have a go at this as I wanted to have a go at track driving but I'm still not happy doing a standard trackday, he was my tutor for the afternoon and it was bloody awesome! The car really surpassed my expectations,in the wet and dry, so much grip, and there was only 8 cars on track at any time so loads of room and no hassle from other more experienced drivers, in fact nothing over took me all afternoon!

The guy with the FRS was another trainer and is looking at getting rid for a 250/265 he had a few laps in mine as a passenger and was overwhelmed by how planted it was and competent through the twisties, reckoned he could'nt carry the same sort of speed through the fast corners! He then gave me a passenger ride in the FRS, was bloody awful! Still quick obviously but just didn't feel as nimble, lumbered about quite a bit too!

Anyway I'm chuffed my motor was so good, they had a guy taking photos of us on track, I'll post some up when I get them.

Nice. How much time did you get actually out on track honing the skills?

Six 20min sessions which doesn't sound much but I was exhausted!

Looks cracking! From the ellipses on the title of this thread, I was half expecting to see the pictures of that white one that spun off and crashed...
