Sorry! No Pics yet!
But here's progress so far.
SUN:-
Out comes the Kartcher. Gentle spray down, then Auto Glymn wheel cleaner on the wheels and agitate with a wheel brush before jet washing down. Then I plug in the Kartcher car shampoo and hose down, giving the wheels a good go, getting under the sills and the wheel arches before rinsing off with the jet wash again.
2 buckets of water. One with G3 car shampoo and the other without. Good old 2 bucket technique!
Then rinse off with the Kartcher again followed by a leather down and a towel dry.
Carpet matts out, hovered, soaked with hot water mixed with persil & brushed down before rinsing & sticking on the washing line.
Then used G3 Turbo Detailer & a G3 clay bar. Panel at a time & reworking the clay regularly as I went & wiped any residue off with a clean cloth
That took me to about Lunchtime. It was getting hot so I covered the Car & parked it in the garage. Enough for one day!
TUE:-
Nice and cool this afternoon, so picked up where I left off. Wipe down with a new soft cloth & Turbo Detailer to get any dust off, and had a gentle go at my wing mirrors with G3 Scratch remover. Mainly because a.) they're lightly scratched and b.) They come off and can be easily replaced if I F**k it up.
Quite pleased with the result actually. They've come up a treat. Feeling a little more confident, I had a go at a couple of bigger scratches I have on the bonnet. Or should I now say "Had" on the bonnet. Because they're virtually gone.
Next step was to get out the G3 paint renovator & the Waffle Pad. Started by doing the underside of the bootlid as it's nice and inconspicuous and no great shakes if I F**k it up.
Feeling OK about it, I did a panel at a time with the Paint Renovator.
To do:-
G3 Resin Polish will be tomorrow afternoon's job, weather permitting & after that. Some interior cleaning, leathercare on the steering wheel, gear lever and seat sides, glass to polish and I'll have a go with the clay bar on the wheels before sealing them. Polish the glass and give the plastics a good going over with some sort of back to black type stuff. And a good hoover out.
I'll put some photos up when it's all done.
(Or I'll be asking for the number of a professional if I F**K it up!)
