I got some carbon vinyl wrap for Christmas so thought I'd give it a go. It's by no means perfect but didn't think it was bad for a first attempt. Any hints/advise on how to get the corners smoother would be cool :) anyways here's a few pics ImageUploadedByTapatalk1356538092.061326.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1356538102.336081.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1356538111.831881.jpg

Cheers dude. Not too hard, I just cu the wrap a bit lager than the piece. Then heated it with a hair dryer set on hot, (burnt my fingers a few times lol) and gradually smoothed and stuck it down, it was going round the edges either end that was tricky I just cut a couple of slits into it and applied heat and manipulated it by hand but its not completely smooth and perfect need to get some more info how to do the edges. But try it if all fails then peel it off and start again ;-) its good fun and a bit of a time killer ;-)

To do curved edges you just need to heat it up and pull it round it into shape, it may slightly mis-shape the carbon but thats the simplest way to do it.. It should stretch a little when heated

Oh cool cheers dude maybe I needed to heat it up more. What about sticking the back round it seemed to all bunch up so I trimmed bits but kind of a little messy :-:

Edit: the curved front face was fine to do it was the 90 degree side bits that got me a bit stuck

Yeah i know which part your on about, i wrapped my diamond on the back round the points without cutting.. But i dont know about carbon wrap.. Ide expect it should stretch enough to pull round flush :)

It does stretch quite a bit when heated up but it cools quite fast too so have to be quick! Just tried and failed at doing one of the wing mirror covers lol. Will try again at some point. And cheers Dazza :)

Youll get the hang of it its simple!
Smashed my numberplate surround first time! Although that was quite straight forward..

Cool man. It looked alright but the problem was all the wavy creases around the edges :-(

I'll give it a go on the next attempt lol. Given up for tonight plus I really need both the wing mirror covers off can't really do one without the other lmao

Cheers mate! i aint gona lie its hard to do! and some of the wrapping iv done is abit hairy in places but my best advice is to buy more than you actualy need so if it goes wrong you can start again and take your time with it. the more practice you have the better you will get!

iv got too wrap 1/3 of my front bumper in stickerbomb wrap going to be fun got a sheet of 1000mm x 850mm :( if i f*ck up its going to expensive lol
