Anyone else use one for washing/detailing the car under? If not, you really need too!

I washed both Twingos yesterday, inside and out and was outside with for around 5 or 6 hours and this was a God send. I still got a bit sun burnt but would have been a lot hotter otherwise.

I was thinking about investing in one but a bit bigger to have it for general car work, with room either side for wheel changes etc.

I'd get plenty of use outta one, would probably need one if I got into the Drift scene with my next car.

Definitely worth investing in one. We've got a couple of them that pop up really quick, just pull it in the opposite direction and raise the legs.

They're great for cleaning as it also means the car is kept at a cooler temperature out of direct sunlight.

Also used mine when all my interior was out as I was working on the car all day whilst it was raining :)

Homebase! an I'll have a look tommoz when i'm back in for you!

Nice one, mate!

On facebook, Alex told me his cost £150, which is way out of my price range at the moment.

If there's a cheaper one going, I might be tempted, as it would make detailing in the heat and rain so much easier.

Last time I went into tesco they had some for 50 quid.

You'll pick up a gazeebo cheaper than £150 to be honest, we just went for this because it's heavy duty and good quality. Also we'll use it in the garden as well as for me washing the car.

It also has sides which are good for if there's a bit of a breeze, not sure if the cheaper ones all come with sides. You can get 3mx4m which will cover the car completely. To be honest thought 3mx3m is enough for the Twingo. I'd never bother with it in the rain as I'd have to get the car out from under it afterwards but it's great for some shade when it's mega hot. :)

I just didn't bother washing mine until this evening when it was cooler (although I was still sweating like a pig in a blanket and managed to get stung by a bee, stung by what must've been a million red ants and ripped my big toe nail off in the process!)

It might be shaded and easier to clean, but stuff getting that uncomfortably hot just to clean a car  even i'm a little realistic sometimes :p

When I mentioned getting one I was told I was crazy! Plus my drive is a slope so not ideal :-(

Not a chance. Spent a couple of hours getting my car up to scratch last night  despite all of the injuries i sustained, i didn't stop cleaning

So much for her not getting cleaned this week! :p we all knew you wouldn't be able to resist!

I had some spare time since i got home earlier than i thought. and if she's going henley regatta she really does need to look clean

That's all very well but I have to take the opportunity to was the cars when I can. Would rather be in the shade on a scorching day than not.

Annoyingly I end up with not just my two motors but the Mrs car to clean as well!
