So today driving home from work, I got in my car and stopped off at the petrol station on my way home. When I pulled into the petrol station and parked up, I looked at my dash and realised my lights were on! Now, there is no reason they should have been on as it was broad daylight, and I don't even remember turning them on; I find it difficult to explain how it could have happened accidentally, since I would have physically needed to twist the ring on the indicator stalk.

I hadn't used my car since Saturday night and I'm pretty sure I would have noticed if they were on then after parking up in the dark. No-one knocked on my door to say my lights had been on overnight Sunday.

So I must have put them on... but why?! It really has baffled me. Anyone else ever had any stupid moments like this?!

do you have the automatic pack if so look behing your mirror from the outside and if u see what looks like a glass bulge then u have the automatic pack i got it i pull up in a petrol station and my lights turn on as well pull of and then go out again. hope it helps :)

Is that where they come on automatically when it goes dark? No - don't have that, my lights don't come on when I go under dark motorway tunnels etc. It's really strange!
I mean, my dad cleaned the inside of my car yesterday, so whether he may have accidentally knocked the switch, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure they weren't on this morning!!

yes it is indeed :) ah right hmm dont know then thats the only thing i can think of well there is that conclution to it he might of nocked it :)

If you forgot to turn them off, then when you close the door and lock it I think they turn off automatically, so if you did leave them on that will explain why you didn't see... Did you rush out of the car and not pay much attention to any noise? Coz if that's what you done it would have made a noise :)

Probably actually as Saturday night it was hammering it down with rain, so I thought "I'd best run to the front door" as I was only in a thin short-sleeved t-shirt lol

If you post the same question tomorrow, the lights are fine... You have lost your marbles
