BTW this irritates me slightly that I haven't got one; I use Gmail everyday and have done so for years and years so why I haven't been part of this select.

To me it seems Google are being sneeky and Nintendo like; hold the production of the Wii back to make it more desirable.

Yeah i blocked it all and you can set your profile to https meaning it is in secure mode all of the time - well thats what it said lol... i can't get any apps that use my data which is fine by me ;-)

Google+ just appears to be a cross between FB and Twitter, occupying the market roughly in the middle. Like an SUV, we didn't know we needed one until they invented it.

The jury is going to be out for a while on this. For me Twitter does everything I need or want, mainly simplicity. This appears to require effort, which twitter does not.

It's the same as gmail though... Back in the day you'd get an invite and that allowed you to give invites out immediately. It even changed to 50 invites!

Indeed

I really quite like the photo montage layouts - that's pretty awesome. I'm mainly waiting for the mobile app to be up to full functionality, then I'll be happy with it.
