The standard 1.2tce setup is quite good, the only real improvement would be to replace the OEM filter with a new one BMC or so which is reusable, it already has a cold air setup standard.

A worthwhile upgrade is to replace the intercooler with a quality front mount one.

I use to own a GT and at one point and it was used daily and I was pushing 132bhp.

JE_GT on here has a brilliant GT but is more track orientated with the mods.

For GT upgrades a lot of us have first hand experience tuning them so don't be shy asking away!

As waitey said, the easiest is replacing the paper air filter with a (for eg) a BMC panel filter.

But if you're looking for some induction noise then you should go for some cone filters or closed induction kits.

A good advice when you do this is to get a cold air feed to it, the airfilter in the TCe sits on top of the engine so it gets extremely hot if you don't and thats bad for fuel consumption and losing horsies.

I've actually done some testing.

I went from OEM airbox with BMC panel filter to my costum made airintake with cold air feed, back to OEM with BMC Panel filter & back again to costum made airintake with cold air feed.

The difference I noticed with the Torque app is that with the OEM airbox & BMC panel filter is that, you accelarate and or drive faster => it gets alot more hot and it stays hot.

With the costum made airintake & cold air feed when you accelerate, it gets hotter but it doesn't get quite as hot with the OEM set-up + when driving at a steady speed it lowers again.

Like yesterday, driving 70 km/h on cruise control, outside temperature was around 8/9°C, measured intake temperature was at 10/11°C.

With the OEM box & panel filter, it gets hotter, no matter what.

+ when I use my costum airintake set-up, my fuel consumption goes down.

And let's not forget the noise, is so cool :p
