The original HALF-LIFE is back and it looks epic.
Yesterday, after a week or so of voting, steam has accepted the remake and it will be on the steam platform (which will make updating a lot easier)

You should play Half life uplink and blueshift.
Uplink was just a demo for HALF-LIFE but it was a hell of a demo. Took me 2 years to complete back in 1999 xD

Lost coast is good but shame it only lasts 5-10 mins, good demo of their improvments towards the HL2 episodes though.

I'm more of a CS:S, CS:GO, Team Fortress 2 kind of guy. I get bored of single player game rather quickly which is a bit of a shame

I was really annoyed about Lost Coast that it was so short but i got it for free so it's alright

I've only got 16 game in my steam library that's only half of the games I've got on my computer

I'm a Huge CS:S fan. Tried CS:GO but im staying oldskool for a while... Used to paly CS 1.6 and CS CZ but they have aged too much!
Hopefully get my CS_Assault CS_office server up in the next few days 24/7 with Health pack mod and damage display mod. It's technically up but still need to apply all mods. Used to run a few RPG Surf servers years ago but im tired of RPG and surf xD

Yeh, lost coast was never meant to be a real game, just Valve demonstrating all the new improvements with narration

I used to in the top 10 out of 5000+ on a few rpg surf servers a few years back when me and my brother used to 'cruise' together. He's now semi professional gamer and I haven't played properly in months so I'm rubbish now.

On CS 1.6 the hitboxes are huge and used to be so easy to kill people but now I believe it's dominated by hackers well it was when I stopped playing it on my brothers steam ID

Half-Life is by far one of my favourite shooters.

The atmosphere is just awesome in that game.

Blueshift was the weekest by far, just played though the original to warm up for this. Might get time to play though opposing force before black mesa is released.

I to have just played through the first 1998 HL All hyped up!
Forgot how good it was! A true strategy game! I'm glad the grenade physics have improved so much though, it's like throwing a breeze block in the original Half life

Iv'e finally found a working reliable download mirror...getting a whopping 140kb/s :| not good!
Rest of the servers have crashed and burned due to excessive traffic.

Wow, anyone played this yet? I found a torrent that got me 1.1mb/s so had it downlaoded within a few hours. Played it through twice so far...amazing!!! Few glitches and load errors that messed up a level for me but just reloaded and tried again!

If anyone remembers the original level where you get the crossbow in the cage hanging over the water...you know, with the scary ass Ichthyosaur in the pool...it's still just as scary...maybe worse actually! I had to use noclip to get past it...cost me a fortune in underwear!

Well, took me about 6 hours to complete, but i know the original back to front, so i flew through it.
Guess it completely depends on how familiar you are with it!
