I was looking for a small car last month, and soon found out that the only ones I liked were the Twingo's (regular twingos back then) I was looking for a young second hand car, and was looking at twingos until I stumbled upon this grey/blue (don't know the exact name of the color) Twingo RS. Immediately I scanned the internet, read dozens of articles, watched tons of films at youtube. This twingo was for sale at an oficial Renault garage for about the same price other "regular" twingo's were for sale at other places (e.g. The twingo initiale of about the same age and distance travelled, was 1500€ more expensive)
The twingo is still in a very good state: the grey-blue color still shines, it is kind of a strange color I think. Some friends said it's a girl's car's color, but they just say it to make a bit fun of me. Inside it looks good except for 1 tiny hole in the drivers seat. On the outside the left front rim hit a little bit of curb, so there are some scratches on it. But hey, I don't really care: You have to stand just next to it in order to see it... It's not the cup-chassis and 17ers, but I think I will appreciate the "comfort".
So after carefully thinking it through (made a tabel of all costs) I found out it was pretty affordable, even for me... Testdriving it was a joy, it just felt right. Then I had to convince my parents for lending me the money: this was the tricky part off course. As no-one in our big family ever drove an even remotely sports-like car, it was difficult to get them onto my train of thaughts. But off course I got it to work and tuesday we signed the contract. Next friday it should be ready to run
I think I got it at quite a bargain: 8500€ and it had 28000 km, comes with 1 year warranty on the motor.
So it's kind a funny when people ask me: what did you get for christmas?
-Well, I got 133 horses and 1024 kilos of metal, alloy and glass and plastic
