hello folks, i've been talking to matt from cat cams the past few weeks about sending a cylinder head of that i have purchased to develop cams for the D4FT Twingo GT engine for a fast road / sport set up. so far cat cams have been fantastic in their communication and are very keen on developing the cams. emails have been sent to clutch specialists in request for development of an uprated clutch to go with the cams whenever they should become available so i am drumming up interest to see who would be keen on getting the cams when available and probably should make up a list of anyone interested??

on the clio tce front, i have no idea if they share the same cams. suspicions are that they shall share the same cylinder head, and in turn the same internals but i have no way of confirming that

im still trying to save for the remap and then the clutch.........stop developing these parts its costing me a fortune and i feel like iv been saving all my twingo owning life!!! lol

Get this sorted Oscar, MS will have a lot of fun especially with the new clutch! ;)

Might be worth emailing pipercams. I know they are regrinds but for the rs twingo your talking over £400 difference

Oscar I was looking for somet to do next cos now with the clutch it can take a lot more but please no it will cost too much

matt @ cat cams said in november that i was to send him a cylinder head, he was more than happy to devlop GT cams. you could map them on the normal ecu, this would be a good time to uprate the turbo also (td04 from a scoob / forrester) and megane r26 injectors and megane fuel pump you'll be good to go. the turbo part is easy, it's just a case of cutting the flange face off your current turbo and cutting the flange off the td04 and welding the cut one from the oem turbo in it's place so that the face fittings are flush then mount. the cost of installing cams if you cannot do it yourself is around the labour cost for a timing belt so 4/5 hours labour. pickup a td04 turbo for 100 or so on ebay rebuilt

problem is that i don't have a head anymore, but if if anyone would like to split costs on buying a second hand gt engine 300 delivered i can sort one out i suppose! once the \gt engine hits 120k miles, i'll be doing a transplant anyway so i'm not fussed either way. thought about turbocharging the f4r then i realised a megane engine is already a turbocharged f4r so it's pointless. can pick up an f4r 182 engine for 5-700, or a grand with gearbox and alternator etc. straight swap, ecu is straight forward. shares the same wiring loom. plug and play mostly

im sure i saw somewhere D4RT cams for the Tce have been made.
might of been a German site.
Maybe a hunt of the EU sites will shed some light
