I am still having this desire for a dump valve that doesn't leak on partial throttle. Has anyone got one? I've heard even the made for it K-Tec ones does... But that's no surprise is it...

Yeh me. K-tec one is *****. Get one with different springs and spacers and set it up properly!

I can't seem to find one anywhere. That and I don't know enough about them... What psi our turbo runs at, all I know is that it's a 25mm one.

Couldn't link me one could you?

I'm on my phone, look on eBay. They are about £35, standard is around 7psi boost, mapped depends on what your running. It should open after hard acceleration when you lift off but remain shut at partial or trailing throttle. Up to you to find your preferred balance, mine doesn't open until at least 3.5k and lift off. Remember cruise at 70 is over 3k on trailing throttle so you want it to be closed then.

K-tec 1 is ***** that's y I've took mine off have u tried making 1 out the old waste gate

The stock boost level is 0.6 bar, 0.75 -0.8 on over boost

I Had the same problem as you with the "honking" on partial throttle. Unfortuantly my stock valve snapped its spring. I looked around trying to find the best dump valve possible and i found one made my HKS called the SSQV. This valve is commonly used on High boost Jap Monsters and requires NO SET UP.

How ever, you do need to buy a 25mm Adapter Plate to convert the flange on the valve to a 25mm pipe. These cost around £6 on ebay.

Hears a Vid/Pictures of mine when i fitted it ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkcocXZAyow

Ive noticed Improved throttle Response, Less reluctancy to pull off. Better fuel efficiency (strangely) and also a hell of a lot nice sound :)

The HKS SSQV is expensive. But other companies do things along the same times. Bailey do one called the "Evo" Twin Piston (This works on the same principle but is much cheeper)

Hope this Info Helps

Sorry to revive an old thread but didn't see a point in making a new one on the same topic.

I'm after a dump valve that doesnt leak under partial throttle too what ones do you all have and are they any good?

I've read above about the HKS ssqv one and personally think that's a little too steep for myself just to get the noise also looked at the bailey one found one on eBay already with the 25mm base but doesn't come with any fitting kit with the price!

Any other suggestions other than the two above?

I have the K-tec one and I put the hardest spring in that you can and it doesn't vent anymore unless your really thrash your car.

Id go for a forge or SSQV, the K-tec one is exactly the same as one on ebay for about £50 with a KTR sticker on it.
