probably a box containing a couple of resistors, with a connector.

Fools the ecu into thinking the air is dencer than it is, so it throws in more fuel.

They do work on a diseasel maybe not ones as poor as that, but they can cause some odd results.

I remember a guy that had one on a alfa 159. Had it on a rolling road and the graph was all over the place. The power was there but there where random drops all over the place. Def not a smooth graph

Have something similar for the mx5 when she gets turbo'd. Well, it's a bit more complex than that. Vacuum pipe to detect boost and then all the gubbings for that which then gets spliced into coolant temp line. Same theory except it actually works (crudely, but it works nonetheless).

*purchased*

haha! i would be tempted if i still had the saxo, chuck anything at that tank!

oooo so it sounds like there is some actual evidence behind that? still wouldnt get one, but like has been mentioned, a more sophisticated kit might give someone the desired affect :D

Wouldn't want it just for power gains, can't be good for your engine if it's messing with cooling temperatures and just dumping more fuel in constantly.
