We had a huge hailstorm yesterday with hail the size of golfballs. Made so many dents on my roof and bonnet. I dunno whether to go through my insurance or go to a garage. By the sounds of it they will probably be booked up for a while cus i think everyone had the same problem :( . Absolutly gutted.

:( dent popper might be able to get them out. Find a local, well regarded detailer and ask who they would use/trust. No need for a bodyshop for such things.

That sucks. Hope it's easily sorted.

Luckily mine was safely tucked in the garage whilst all the giant hail stones were coming down, but was worried some of the roof tiles might get cracked.

We had something similar, about 6 years ago. #1 daughter's car had over 40 dents. Local garage got their dent man in, and he removed the lot.

Do your kids know you rate them? Im fairly certain mh parents call me #3 :(

Yes. #1 was always called 'My Little Treasure' because she had a sunken chest, and #2 was called 'Babe' as she's a talking pig.

Insurance company, that sort of weather is classified as an act of god. like when a tree falls on your car, of if the moon fell out the sky and landed on your car it's beyond you or any other humans control so your insurance company should sort that for you. and if they don't, well at least you'll have a real answer to your question that none of us could provide you with.

Damn, i'd be on a warpath with the world if that happened to me. Do insurance companies even cover for Mother Natures rage? o_O

According to stuff I read earlier, fully comp insurance policies will cough up for stuff like this.

I thought most wouldn't. Exceptional events such as volcanos and weather and terrorist attacks aren't covered in terms I remember reading on a previous insurance. Not sure if it's on my current tbh

I was reading stuff earlier on and insurers were.

the insurers are paying out, as long as you've got fully comp. insurance.

Simon Douglas, director of AA Insurance, said: "If your car is comprehensively insured, damage of this sort is covered by your policy, while damage to property should also be covered by buildings insurance."

Glad to hear! And surprised. As we all know most tend to do all they can to avoid that
