That article does still say "will be announced", but other sources (particularly the German press) are reporting it as fact.

Let's hope Lewis has been given a good insight and can see the 2014(at latest) merc will be awesome.

Merc obviously have something up there sleeve with new engines an all that in 2014.

Well, McLaren have officially announced Perez for 2013 onwards, so I hope for Lewis' sake it's a definite deal with Mercedes

Perez is definitely a talented driver, but I wonder if his Telmex money is covering the deficit of having to pay for their engines.

As much as I'd like to see Di Resta in one of the front teams, I'm not sure that's likely James. It's widely thought that Ferrari have some kind of agreement with Vettel for 2014. With this being likely, they'll only want a stop-gap, and it might prove a bit difficult for Ferrari to sign someone like Paul on a 1 year deal, unless he thinks He'd be able to get a Red Bull drive the following year, which probably wouldn't be too likely.
