Hello again you lot!

seems like ages since I have had my twingo - so it might be time to get one back.
My old twingo is owned by someone about 10 doors down from me - I see it every day on the way to work.... and it just looks so good sat on their drive not being used - makes me want another one every day.

Since I was on here I bought a sportka - that has now been bought back off me by the garage due to some major rust issues they didnt spot - so lost no money! The ka had a large hole under the engine mount and had early sign's of the head gasket going. So as a result of this I took any car they had in that was safe and looked after - I have ended up with a renault scenic (a brilliant 04 example... but still a big purple dad wagon).

So! I have been looking round for twingos with a bit of a limited budget - My scenic is worth 1800 (quoted) and with some extras im looking at about 3.5k.

I have found two - One i'm wondering if it was anyone's on here as it has the FMIC conversion that a lot of GT owners have done.

and one is a damaged but very new one on ebay £500 under my budget to possibly get it fixed up.

any thoughts?

tommy.

welcome back tommy, :) knew u couldnt stay away for long.

dont like the look of the facelift, as its got cracks front and back, i think hats a bit of a hornets nest.

the gt looks nice :)

I thought similar about the newer one - just got suckered in by the newness and low mileage of it. Probably be a lot more than £500 to get it back to where it should be.

I had loads of plans for my sportka before it went in for a service and they wouldnt let me take it back home again :( shame they didnt have a twingo in or I would have got whatever it was.

GT will be the way to go I think - The wife drives the car aswell so a 133 wont work as she was scared of the power of the ka (and mullered all the wheels! )

welcome back :p I wouldn't go for the facelift if I were you as there could have a little more damage then it looks like it's got. There's some piping missing in the engine bay (could be other stuff missing?). I'd go for the GT :) It's been given the FMIC and K-tec catback treatment

Ready made mods! my favourite kind :D

Didnt spot the piping in the engine! tbh I just want my 59 reg one back - but that ent happening as its with an old lady now (still with my white mirrors and yellow fogs - looks a bit odd with her at the wheel)

I got lots of stuff ready to do up the sportka paint wise that im sure MIGHT go on a twingo - I'd hate the old owner to be on here though and see their car changed lol

Welcome back! The white facelift one is a bargain but personally I'd go for the GT. 1.2 N/A just doesn't do it for me.

Yeah - my 1.2 looked very nice and was cheap - but I was scared I did it too much damage by driving it quite hard to get it to out run other things on the road. A very capable car but often passengers think you are driving like an absolute chav just to get it up to 60mph on a straight hill.

surprisingly- the scenic is really nice to drive and has been brilliantly useful while moving house - but I dont have kids yet so dont need a people van!
