Hello folks,

Been looking at buying a new silversone twingo, I know the general spec of them but if anyone can shed any light on the general annoyances or problems with twingos it would be appreciated!

Although I know it's new so shouldn't have the problems but still best to check for any common faults!

Cheers
Cat

And 99.9% of us are biased towards Twingo's so we don't see them as having 'annoyances', lol :)

Welcome to the club. Silverstones are great, we have a few members with them now :)

Welcome to the forum :) Your best off going to the Silverstone or progress threads and speaking to a couple of the guys from there if it helps? Where do you live? :)

welcome.

enjoy the forum.

a few people have had the odd problem but there is no problems whihc everyone has.

the only thing that people wish it had was a 6th cruising gear, but apart form then, they are brilliant cars

I've had my silverstone for 6months now, and I love it! Had a non cup rs for 3 years before that, and loved it
No major issues, silly things like seat rattles, and some ppl have had issues with the boot catch.

The only mechanical issue I had with my old red rs was the cat converter weld came apart, but that was covered by warrenty!

U will not regret getting the silverstone!

Same with LordyB, I had the same problem with the weld on the cat and so did a friend. Even though the dealers sometimes are unhelpful, you can always get in touch with Renault UK, who are fantastic with customer service!

Welcome.

Yeah, theres been a variety of faults... Most of them annoying niggles from squeaks and rattles.

Scuffed wheels with the 17's on the cup is a favourite whinge and will probably happen to you however carefull you try to be. Stretched low profile tyres and outward dished spokes make it inevitble.

Well just had my test drive of the twinge cup and apart from the lack of power it was great on the twisties!

So threw in an order for a silverstone! Just got to wait until March now :-(
March is only 9 days away  At least it's not a Christmas present :?

Yay. Not too bad a wait - at least it's not a 12 week wait ;)

good to hear the wait is short, then teh fun can begin.

suppose there is not a lot of a wait as there isnt much variation in silverstones like with other cars, so they can build them and then just wait for them to be bought, rahter than have to custom build each one
