Got my Twingo RS about a month ago, and I really like it. Before I had an old Peugeot 106 and Clio 98' with 43kw so it's quite a different world. :D

I bought it from a Renault dealer, it's 09' and has 40k km on the clock. It's in very good condition, still smells like new inside. :D It's red with flag stickers on the sides. I will post some picture as soon as I clean it a little because it's quite dirty from all this ****** weather now.

One downside, however, was that I didn't get original 17' alu wheels in package, I guess they sold them separately to get the most money out of it. Well, they gave me winter tyres so that's a little plus. So when the winter is over I hope I find some original wheels on the market in good condition, if not, I will buy some similar to those, but don't know yet, 16' or 17'.

That's it for now, and btw cheers for all the founders and active users on this forum, it's really loaded with infos and everything, so good job. I had an airbag and servise light on a week or so ago, soon after I cleaned it inside so I was guessing it has something to do with cables under the seats, but you never know and I was a little scared what is going on, anyway, find a solution here. Pop seats back and front and the light was gone. :D

And now, I go contact JMR guy on here, and order some RS133 clutch footrest for myself. :p

Welcome :)

I'm glad you found the solution to the airbag light being on.

Personally, I like the look of the 17" cup alloys but they are too compromised for my liking.

I follow the forum almost every day since I got my new ride to see what is going on to other twingos around the globe and today I noticed that topic and I just must have that footrest. :D

I was just thinking the other day when I was cleaning it, that it would be good if Twingos would have something there to put your foot down and said, that I will go look for some steel plate or something. And today I saw your work, it's brilliant.

Thank you very much. :D

Look forward to seeing pictures of your ride when you have this fitted.

So it has been almost two years since my first drive with little red Twingo. No trouble so far. :) Anyway, I was visiting a friend the other day, weather was beautifull and so was the car, in my mind. :D I looked at it, it looked me back and we decided that I must take the picture and finally post it. So here it is... :)

Here is the link of the image because I had trouble with uploading: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l2xcg9nfryhutwc/Neimenovano.jpg?dl=0

In this two years, Twingo has experienced total evolution. From being a "pocket rocket" driven by a young man, who likes to push it occasionally, and his girlfriend, who by the way fell in love with it the first time she drove it, to a family car. It now drives around me, my girlfriend and two baby girls (twins). :) It is still an RS, though. ;) But Twingo showed his completely different face, and it is freaking brilliant. It's got isofix, you can turn passenger
airbag off, because of movable rear seats we can even put baby cart for twins in the boot. It seems like it was made for this, except that it was not. :p For example, my brother owns 2010 Ford Focus Estate Titanium, which stands for top equipment as you all know, and his car doesn't have isofix mounted, you can't turn passenger airbag off. Of course it says in the book that you can go to your dealer and they do all that for you if you pay them well, but it is Titanium for gods sake. I don't know, maybe it depends on the market too and it is different in other countries, but if that is the case, Renault shouldn't have it either.

Of course eventually we will need a bigger car but until then, Twingo is the way. It is more than capable to do the business. Also we already decided that when it is time (and money :p ) for a new one, Twingo is staying with us. :D It's funny when we arrive somewhere, start unpacking and there seems to be so much stuff coming from the Twingo but I think it has to be one of the most practical little cars ever made. What I know for a fact, it is the best little hot hatch! :D
