Morning All!

I'm hoping to be in the market soon for a new car and I've been eyeing up the RS Twingo's. I've always had a soft spot for the RS range of Renaults and the Twingo 133 fits my criteria of being a cheap to run whilst being fun to drive perfectly.

I'm currently running an Integra DC5 which has been my dream car for years but due to living in a city centre it is doing 5 miles a week at most and the cost of running an import Honda due to it being an Import along with the horrendous scene tax that comes with it has made me decide to sell up as while I love the car greatly it's just sinking money in to something that is getting little use in the way it intended to be used. I'd much rather it went to someone that is actually going to be able to hit VTEC in it and enjoy it for what it is.

My last experience of an RS was a FF 182 I had for about 6 months, it was a wicked little car and I managed to win over a few doubters who just wrote it off for being French, the only reason that went was to make room for the DC5.

Anyway, I shall be lurking about and trying to get as much info as I can before I make a purchase and will hopefully get to meet you all at some meets in the future.

Ben

Thanks for the welcomes so far! Seen some interesting things on this site so far that has given me plenty of ideas! Loving Singlespeed's is it? with the 2118's.

My DC5 is quite a standard car compared to a lot of them but has the following:

Spoon N1
R8BYB Unsilenced B-Pipe
Eibach Springs

The rest is pretty much stock. I have a Tegiwa Carbon scuttle scoop as the car came with the Tegiwa-M induction kit but I got rid of it as I wasn't happy with how it fitted to the car and bought an OEM airbox and fitted a Do-Luck panel filter instead. Also had a Tegiwa torque dampener which I've removed as it just caused an horrendous vibration through the chassis. The exhaust is silly loud though and how I've not been pulled for it I don't know... At one point I was running the car with barely any interior too! #becauseracecar Recently had new OEM front & rear pads fitted along with M-Tec disc on the front and OEM for the back.

The best thing about old Jap cars is that they are held together by plastic clips so like a big Lego set. Makes taking it apart a 15minute job!

benji, have a look at my GT thread. jap content, either you think it's comical and cool or it's just ridiculously gay. either way don't take it too seriously, it's a work in progress and it's supposed to be a bit of fun whilst retaining full function and form :p i'm about 5% completed. tons and tons of engine tarting to do, resprays, suspension, brakes .... painful amounts of money still to be spent! :)

i have some spoon / mugen / sti / hks parts all ready on there, with a fair amount more still to come! be nice :p

i love your DC5 dude. take those pictures down before i have a small accident please :D
