Just sat at work, looking for what car I'm after next and I came across the Twingo 133. Went to look at some reviews and google brought this forum up - best place to read up about the car!

Currently own an Octavia VRS, but that is going end of the month. Wanting something fun, fast and relatively friendly on the wallet. Not bothered about size or space as I've no kids or any reason for a big car so it seems like a good idea.

Used to have a Clio 172, loved the car but I'm wanting something newer now - will continue to compare between the Clio 197 and the 133 Twingo but I've got a couple of weeks to decide.

Will try and find if there's a thread containing what to look for - unless someone is kind enough to link me?

From the North of Scotland (Inverness region) by the way.

Cheers!

Welcome!

Check around the project threads, Yotah1's and Neil's (Singlespeed) are two very good examples of what is possible with the Twingos, also check for any meets around as we have a lot of members up North! Could possibly go out in one?

Many thanks for the welcome.

I'll no doubt come across these cars when I get back and have a look properly.

What's this naughty corner I see above your names?

It's a Naughty Corner haha,

Welcome to the madhouse. If you want a fast car get the clio, if you want fun and an awesome forum get a twingo.

As for the naughty corner....... Just have an open mind if you enter

as chicken said, the twingo is not that quick in a straight line, but straight line speed is boring, twingo def comes into its element around corners,

clio def has more power but twingo is a smile maker :)

I'll have a look at the naughty corner - I'm not one who get's offended by anything!

Yeah not really bothered about straight line speed - plenty of nice roads up here and the Twingo will be ideal.

Thanks for the warm welcome, will have a good look around the site today.

Welcome mate. Twingo will be good fun on some of your roads.

**Theres a few threads in here with common issues, lower ball joints and leaking scuttle panel are the main two to worry about. **

Smiles per mile are what the Twingo is all about

Welcome Matty.

Hopefully mine will be back home soon after I finish this hitch off-shore. I'm not too far away if you want a run out ;)

Thanks! Just seen the 'usual questions' thread.

Yeah that would be good, I'm moving to Elgin area next month - quite looking forward to it. So I'm hoping to get a new car before then.

I'm currently out the country with work, hence why I've been writing at dodgy times of the night. Frustrating seeing a car I want but can't go and see it lol!

Many members around this way? I know someone who's a family member of one of my good mates has a white one up the road.

neil your twingo not exactly standard though :p
Yeah it is. Its amazing what you can knock up in photoshop for picture posting on the forum and some speakers mounted in the engine bay to make it sound different :p

Matty. I'm just on the outskirts of Elgin.
I think I've probably flyered the white 133 that you mentioned before now but I don't think they signed up/ or maybe it could be James whos parents live a mile away (facelift 133 and previous Gordini). Or maybe Ollie who is out Banff direction

Currently out in SE Asia, back at the end of the month though.

Yeah I imagine they are fun, the handling must be immense!

No doubt see you around then, you won't be that far away. The one I'm thinking of is up near Alness, bit further up the road lol.
