Hi everyone, basically, to save all the, tommy your such a noob comments lol. I was tired, had to jack my front right up to swap a wheel, wacked jack under wasnt concentrating and jacked it up on the sill near the arch where there is a peice of plastic with 2 bolts also in line with the sill, it snapped in the middle luckily the sill cause the car and no more damage, wiggled the side skirt seems to be on still, wondering what is it?!!? but then just so you know I went to a garage and done it on a ramp instead lol..... cheers

I can take one and send it to your mobile? pm me your number ? Im concerned bud, no other way as im at work but i can run outside

You're such a noob haha

Front or rear wheel? Could be the arch.... As said pics needed for better analysis

Edit: I'm such a noob just seen it's front

As said a photo would be great.

The sideskirts are held on with plastic pop clips, where as the arches are both pop fit and a few screws... without a photo I can't determine what you've done.

thats it. just looks odd to me now, thanks everyone appreciate it

yeah i totally beleive in that now, its not causing me any issues and its not cosmetic but I will straighten it up at the weekend when I do the weekly details......... just worried me thats all ? any ideas?

I wouldn't be worried mate, they always bend. It's so weak you could probably bend it back without it snapping/splitting.

I would wait for another opinion before taking mine though ;)

haha, lol yeah , so any idea what the 2 bolts are? im not even sure its snapped or ive just bent the middle out so it looks dodgy ?

Yep thats the Sills jacking point. You have to be carefull to be in the middle of the jacking point to spread the weight nicely. and if not this is what happens.

This is why i always use the rear axle or the front subframe

ok, so, rear axel obv I know that, so near the front use the subframe at all times, cheers guys, so no broken clips for skirts or arches etc then ?

This is why I never jack on the sills :s

You're meant to jack it up on them.... hence the shape of the jack. But only on 4 points.
