Hi,

Excellent forum ad thank you for letting me join.

Picked up my 2nd hand 133 Gordini this morning (No 28).

First impressions are that it's even better on the twisty Wiltshire roads home than on the test drive at the Dealer.

Used to have a Twingo GT (until someone decided to write it off :-() so knew it would be fun to drive, but so much more planted than the GT.

All the best

Mark

hello mark, welcome along to the forum! that's a very nice / tidy example of a stock gordini you've picked up. take a look at neils gordini progress thread .... it is absolutely ridiculously cool :D

i take no responsibility for any boxer shorts related accidents you may incur, parental advisory required lol

Welcome to the forum we have number 26 and 27 here already I'm sure :)

Welcome Mark :)

No28 is another addition to the list. Is that with the Cup chassis upgrade or standard? Being as all Dinis come with 17" wheels, its sometimes assumed there all Cups. If you don't know, have a look at the rear dampers and springs where a purple patch probably indicates Cup parts.

Wiltshire! that probably means your reasonably close to Castle Combe and FCS isnt too far away. So, if you want to go and park up with us, get a ticket ordered in the next few days ;)

Hi Singlespeed,

Looking at the shocks they have a blue / purple bit at the top. Is that an indicator of a cup chassis? Guess it may be as if the cup is stiffer than this it would be terrible on the road as ready pretty firm!

Based in Devizes, so FCS is not far, but is a clash with wife's birthday when will have a full house for the weekend, so no chance of being able to get there :-(.

Re-map and filter on the cards. Anything more adventurous may need to wait for a while.

Cheers all!

The blue at the top is just part of the bumpstop/ dust cover. This should help...

Hi,

Hi Singlespeed,
thanks for the link to the instructions for identifying if Cup Chassis. Looks like No 28 is a Cup Chassis as per attached photo.

Hi Callum-stirling,
Calne is not far at all. Meeting up at some point would be a good idea.
Time tight at the moment (working in London :-( and a 1 yr old taking time at weekends) but sure an opportunity will present itself soon.

Cheers both

Mark
