My name is colin and i currently own a clio v6 255, and a 1.2 dynamique clio for a daily and for the missus to use,

My local dealer is getting a twingo RS 133 in this weekend, its on a 59 plate, in capsicum red with cup packs and its only done 6600 miles with one owner...

so im going to look at it, with the idea of trading in the 1.2 for something a bit newer, better and more fun!!

thought this would be the best bit to sign up to for any extra information etc

Welcome along mate defo be able to pick up some useful info here

Sounds a good little motor and not a bad plan keep the v6 for ultimate fun an the twingo for an exciting drive to work :p

ive never even sat in one before so i really dont know what to expect.... :)

i'll find out myself this weekend...but are they "quick" enough? obviously alot better than the 1.2 clio is, but do they have enough power to keep you entertained when your not on the twisty bits? like fast a road or motorway?

the v6 only does less than 1500 miles a year haha, crappy british weather sees to that!

Welcome.

I tend to find the 133 has enough power to keep me entertained most of the time. Can be a bit of a drone with road noise on long trips on bad road surfaces, but it's more than fun enough to make up for that :)

welcome, need to see pictures of the v6 :) awesome cars!!

you will enjoy the 133, motorway driving i did it daily for a year, gets noisy above 65

It will be alot more day to day fun then the Clio. I've just got the 133 non cup u may find the cup packs abit stiff but I've never been in a Clio V6 so it maybe the same

i used to own a 1.2 clio and then went to twingo 133. the little car is so much fun and a big smile maker

thanks for the warm welcomes guys :)

some good positive thoughts so far anyways!

heres a couple of pics of my v6..

the white 200 is mum and dads....we like our renaultsports ;)

You wont get the same thrill obviously but you dont need it if you're keeping the 255. None of the noises from the coilovers, or the click clack from the gear box or the deafening noise from the exhausts. But a committed driver chasing a v6 down down the lanes wont be too much slower.

Btw yours is in the second best colour. Unfortunately there's only 2 inferno 255s so I'll likely never own one!

Hope the car is perfect and you end up in a 133! Won't regret it in terms of smiles per miles.

Welcome ;) twingo's are good wee cars, lots of tyre noise. You will think the front wheel bearings are gone when you testdrive one! Lots of grip in the dry, a bit twitchy in the wet but if u can handle the v6 monster!! NO PROBS! enjoy :D

Thanks people!

We're many of these cars fitted with the optional
Climate control?

Im
Not sure weather this one has it yet, not seen any pics of the car, most I've seen on pistonheads etc just have standard air con,

I think mine's one of very few 133s which have both automatic climate control and the panoramic sunroof. A very expensive option, but it's brilliant!

Ahhhh!! Stunning V6 and your mum and dads clio looks amazing! U won't be dissapointing with a twingo great cars!

Wow, nice V6
Twingo RS133 is way more entertaining to drive than CLio 1.6 16V (mkII), so it would be miles better than 1.2 ;]
Handling is very good even if it's non cup. It could have more power, but it would invade Clio RS territory and Renault didn't want to make it happen. There's always not enough power, even in Veyron ;), you just want more and more.
But as a daily driver it does its job in 150% :)
