Got home to find a royal mail card in the mail box so i rushed over to the collection depo and picked up a parcel... it was my new HIDs from Josh (Hatton performance), i went for 6000K :)

Now, let me explain, this is not my first set of HIDs... i first went for 8000K and they were extremely awful, had no end of problems with them from day one... flickering... only one would go on high beam...different colours.... to sum it all up...they were useless!

Ive just got in from fitting my new ones and from 1st impressions im very impressed....both go on high beam...both the same colour...both the same brightness... happy days!!

Happy days Rob :)

You are another jumping on the HID band wagon form Hatton Performance

Just what you want Rob - two lights doing the same things!

They do look great!

I would love a set but the only thing that is stopping me is all the legal stuff, because on the MOT it will fail :/ rather annoying!

Plus my passengers side light seems higher than my drivers side which is annoying, any suggestions?

Sounds like the leveler isn't calibrated correctly or is faulty.

You can't fail a car on mot for having hids fitted, only if the beam / pattern isn't correct. I've seen them failed for poor output ( cheap kits, poorly fitted ). The law on them is still a grey area.

Alo need a atuomatic headlight adjuter ;) o it will fail unless you want to spend a few bob

So long as the beam pattern is correct at time of test you don't need an automatic headlight adjuster. If a car is to be fitted with factory xenons then at constructions and use stage they must be fitted with a headlamp level system and washer system. As far as mot is concerned they aren't tested on beam and light output.

A car with xenons has a automatic adjuster on the rear axle!

I work in a garge i think i know that im on about ;) g look on the Vosa webite ;)

Yeah a car fitted with factory fit xenons will come with level sensor and wash system has to to pass type approval. However those items aren't tested on mot so any retro fitted kit don't need those items to pass an mot.
Oh btw I'll be doing my 10 th year mot re fresher course at the end of the yeah.

It's more of a grey area tbh regarding hid kits
But your right to do it to the letter of the law would cost a fortune.

To end this arguement no HID kit give off the correct beam so it doesnt really matter

But read Vosa a bit closer as this was a big decussion with Vosa a few month back at our place ;)
