I've just noticed that some of the 133's have small more circular wingmirrors will others have longer more rectangular wingmirrors, what is the difference? Was it an optional extra?

The rounded were the original. Renault simply updated them at some point.

I think it was 2009 when they changed

It was around the time the gordini come out I think. It's not just the mirrors that are different I believe. The newer ones have the rs badge on the front and the rear renaultsport badge is different too.

That was done at a later point. Carries has the new mirrors, but no rs badge (or cup badges) and the rear is unpainted plastic whereas mine is gloss black

It was late 2010 the more squared mirrors came out. My car has them and it's a 2010 (60 plate), whereas I've seen mid-2010 (10 plate) ones with the rounder mirrors

Carries is a 10 plate. It depends on when it was made NOT when it was registered ;)
