How many miles are left in my RS?

So I have one bar left then the Red bar of doom! How many miles are left in my tank approximately? I've just bought the car so don't wanna risk over stepping the mark and running out of fuel!

everyone seems to have a diffenrt number of miles for the bar, so i think the best advice is dont let it hit the red bar

i have seen 45 miles out of a bar and i have seen 15. better be safe than sorry and treat the bar before the red as your empty tank bar.

I always thought there was about 5 litres per bar plus whatever's in the reserve.

as a rule of thumb, add about 5-10% of the tanks stated capacity onto the true capacity of the tank. when the display reads 'empty' and the engine cuts out, your fuel tank will never be empty. what happens in that instance is a fail safe mode is activated which shuts down your fuel pump to stomp it pumping air which is detrimental to the tank and pump. there needs to be that extra 5-10% to allow for EVAP (fuel vapours)

IMO, there is no straight answer as it will always vary. Just fill up when you go onto 1 bar or just after the red light comes on :? Calculate your average mpg yourself and I bet it is different to what your car display says

Last bar can get easy 40 miles if u sit at 50 and drive like a old lady and reserve, I've seen 35 out of it driving carefully.
