Hi,

Just joined. I am thinking of buying a Twingo as a 2nd car. I still need to do the school run and have 2 kids (5 and 7). With only having 2 doors does the driver door return to set driving position and is there enough room in the back for the kids?

Whats the view on the new model? I prefer the looks of the old one personally.

with the split sliding rear seats, theres good legroom in the back.

I like both new and old models

mine acts as a main car and it is very easy to get used to. The leg room is fine for, my nephews (4 and 10) are tall for their ages and both fit comfortably.

A further thing that makes it quite a good family (or second) car, is that the doors are quite short so dont bang into the side of other peoples cars when getting the kids in and out.

If you remove the rear parcel shelf, there is room for a push chair and a decent amount of shopping. one thing my nephews like is that the rear seats have their own side panel pockets ..... so all their rubbish goes in there on a long journey. :)

Yes and yes

And between the two, personal preference. I like both
correct however the old style is better in my opinion

For kids that can climb in the back on their own there'd be plenty of room. In fact with an average sized drive there's plenty of space in the back for two adults let alone kids. :)

still remember falling out the back of a 197 after getting my foot caught on the seatbelt and faceplanted the floor

yer there is def enough room in the back, both height and leg room, as both my parents are around the 6ft mark and they can easily fit in the back, even behind me with my seat almost to the back stop

those independent sliding seats are very handy

hi everyone! i ordered a twingo rs a few weeks ago but maybe i should have chosen the cup chassis. i cant decide if without cup chassis i lose the most of the advantages of this car (handling etc) or its just not gonna be _that_ hard. the cars coming on 17" wheels ;)

so what do you think :?:

Hey, I owned a non cuped rs on 16" non cupped alloys for 3 years!
Loved it!
Now I own a silverstone and it's got cup pack and 17" cup wheels.
And unless you are belting about on a track, you won't notice much difference in handling!

The independent folding rear seats are awesome. I would never have a Twingo without them!

I only regretted not getting the cup pack or the alloys. I didn't like the non cup alloys. But u won't have that issue!
I think I've made a good choice!
But it's your car and you'll b driving it, so up to u!

Enjoy!!

thank you for the replay. actually i never ever driven a twingo rs, even not before the ordering. unfortunately i live in hungary and theres no any trs at the moment :((
in price theres no big difference, 300 euro, but its really hard to decide like this:) because i think even with the CS, i have to drive carefully so... case _not_ closed :D
