any thoughts on this? think if they did it on a track rather then a straight line it would be diffrent, also cant remember who said it but someone on here said, " any idiot can drive quick in a straight line"

this comes after i was embarrassed by a mini cooper s ( maybe John cooper ) not sure what it was as it was dark

cant seem to post a youtube vid like it should be.

i heard Movingshadow saying something like this "any fruitcake can drive fast in a straight line" dont ask me wich thread cause i seriously have no idea but yeah even a 12 year old knows wanna go faster push the pedal down more , but take a corner at some reasonable speed then skills and also car maneuverability will be required

also a mini cooper s (turbo car) specs= 181hp 177 TQ stock any turbo car that has around 130hp will beat the Twingo RS in the straights and it is sometimes anoying if that guy passes you on the straight but then soon tables will turn and you can prove him otherwise in the corner up next (this is what i mostly do let those fools pass and to think their faster than me then ill blow past them in a corner keeps them shocked O.O and not knowing how a mere Twingo could outrun them in a corner)

btw downside to this way is more Tire wear cause of aggressive cornering , but hey if you only want to beat ppl at straights get a turbo car or one with more horses then your opponent and you will kick some ass on the straights or get a 4WD car then you have something good from both worlds , but i think your budget doesnt cut it vs the price of the Twingo RS

The Twingo RS is a special car and it is car not for everyone to drive or like but this car awards you if you rev it hard and drive it hard and thats what i like about my RS vs some other "blown" car ;) Natural aspired FTW :D

hope my thoughts about the RS will inspire you more again ;)

P.S = Fifth gear can [Insert swear words] a dumb comparison they made if they just did all the 4 cars the same 4 tests and then gave it points at the end of the day the renault would shine out more but probably not win , also TOP GEAR FTW haters gona hate

Evo tested all them and a few others in 2009. The twingo took a convincing win

with reviews, it all depends on who does it, as each magazine/ programme has its own target audience,

e/g autoexpress hated the ride stiffness of the twingo and said it was riduculous why so stiff, and then evo said it was the best thing ever and should never buy it with out. so need to take every review with a pinch of salt.

I dont mind the twingo not being that fast, its quick enough for me, becasue straight is boring, i do love finding corners and and know that the little twingo eats them. especially with teh gforce meter up and seeing how close to 1g i can get in a corner. :)

Straight lines are for fast cars, corners are for fast drivers.

Anyone can plant there foot into the carpet and change gear. On a good b road thing may of been different, the cracking handling of the twingo will of helped.... However the cooper s is a good handling car, not as good as the 133, but good non the less.... Who knows.

To be far this is part of the reason i went to a 197, wanted a bit more power, more important for me was having awesome handling also

Just to note, I had you off the line ! Also the 2nd video for the interesting part skip about half way thru where Grosjean turns up in a Megane rs.

Btw, look at a price of the Mini Cooper S and compare it with the Twingo RS.

Besides, Mini's are for girls and hairdressers.

Sisters boyfriend has a jcw and that was £31k new

At knebworth house we played a cheeky game of cat and mouse across the grounds but he couldn't shake me off whatsoever. But on a dual carriageway he could easily have me. Although a mini cooper s tried to undertake me the other day and tbh I got bored of granny driving so thought id try it and it was pretty even on a rolling start, which amazed me as I assumed it was a lot quicker not just marginally
