Had a fun raising event last night for a friend who has just been told he has cancer but due to the type of cancer he has the NHS wont pay for the kemo for him! Meaning yesterday a load of friends and his work colleges had a fun raising night to raise £5000 to get him kemo.

But i also got carryied away on the old beers was cracking last night beers flowing nicely and a good laugh :D Then i woke up today feel ruff as anything and im at work! Not going to be a good day i dont think :(

Actually there's three but still a massive improvement hahaha

Good luck in raising the funds.

Hangovers at work really do suck!! But you will drink again as for some reason it's really easy to forget how bad you felt last time haha.

We have 'Recession Drinking' on a Thursday as a bar round the corner from work does drinks half price before 8pm! Not good being in for 8am the next day though.

Hope you Raised some cash mate, drinking for a good cause is perfectly fine. 2 bottles of Lucozade and a can of relentless will sort u right out

Had a bacon roll and water seems to be doing the job :)

I struggle to drink loads if I know I've got work the next day! Nothing worse than a hangover and having to work!

Normally it's best to admit your drinking problems not blame it on fund raisers. Nice one for helping raise the money for that person though. :D

I don't get that whole fry up bacon roll thing... After I wake up and am in the "I'm never drinking again, I just want to crawl in a hole and die" state... The last thing I want is food, let alone greesy and fatty.

Does that not just equal chunder o'clock?

a hang over is a shortage of water, sugar and vitamins so the best thing to do is drink loads especially water and if it has a high sugar content and eat something.

If you KNOW you're going on a bender, take Milk Thistle three times during the day before. They're a herbal thingy and you can get them from Holland and Barrett or your local tree-hugger shop. Won't stop you getting a hangover if you go TOO mad, but they do seem to do some good.

Afterwards, try and drink AT LEAST a pint or water before you go to bed (preferably 2 pints). In the morning, ONE cup of coffee (then either decaf or water) and 2 paracetamol tablets. Try to eat a reasonable meal. And (if it doesn't sound too indelicate...) having a dump will usually make you feel better. Don't overdo the paracetamols, but another two 4 hour later will be OK.

But mainly: DON'T DO IT AGAIN, YOU SILLY BOY

I'm 48 and STILL not taking my own advice - had a stinker this morning...
