I have been looking for a new car and came across the Twingo GT TCE and just wondering;
what there like to drive?
can you fit them with a dump valve?
and how much more power can be gained by giving one a ecu remap and new exhaust?

also whats the 0-60 speed after this?

:D

I've not personally driven one, but those who have them on here seem to think they're very good. Being between the renaultsport and a standard twin go, they should be pretty good.

Yes.

Some of the guys on here have got 130 bhp after just new injectors and a remap.

From experience:

There not fast tbh standard but are good enough and gain speed well.

DV yes you can fit it, you'll need a DV with 25mm base and bung IIRC and a dual piston one.

With just an exhaust panel filter and remap without replacing any internals except new 182 injectors I personally have gotten 132bhp & about 147lbs/ft, but JJay on here is pulling 141bhp and about 150lbs/ft but I think his injectors and fuel pump are maxed out.

0-62 I'll come back on as at trax so long as its dry I'm going to go on the 0-60 strip ;) hopefully high 7s!

cheers, you recon after those mods the performance may be close to a 133?
i want a 133 but insurance is too much haha

well tbh i think anything will feel quick compared to my current car - 1.0 corsa haha, bought it cos i thought insurance would be low, but i was sadly mistaken haha.

and oh sounds good, 30% increase from standard! double and a bit from what am gettin from my car haha.

and alright looking forward to the 0-60 speed!

PS. what does IICR mean? haha

Wouldn't the insurance on a standard 133 not be similar to that of an engine modified GT? Then you'll have the 133s handling too!

Na ive been refused insurance on a 133 but insurance on a gt is about £600 for me which is alot better than most cars ive looked at :)

PS - how big is the handling difference between the gt and 133? :)

I've not driven a GT, but think it's a good step. Best way to find out would be to get a test drive of both and see for yourself.

yeah gonna take a test drive but gonna wait till my insurance runs out before i get a new car so got a while yet :)

Gordini 100... I'd love one!

Fast. Comfortable. Quirky. And looks great (the wheels and interior being big selling points).

Would be my choice.

I'm not sure but someone on here or TOC did a B road comparison between the two.

I think some coil overs and 30mm spacers + some good rubber and handling should be very similar.

Hey, the GT is a great step up, with a few subtle mods, exhaust, induction set up and with a decent remap you will be seeing around 120-130...

I am pushing 141bhp 153lb/ft

I have 182 injectors and they are coping okay with the extra power but the fuel pump is pushing its limits and so is the turbo. Iirc the turbos can handle 150hp same as the fuel pump. You don't wana push anymore than that as you will destroy your engine rather quickly...

If you are one of the 0-60 types then you want to upgrade the clutch too pal, mine is okay as long as you don't dump all the power down on it.

Hope this helps a little, any questions just give me a shout or any of the guys on here, they are friendly bunch so don't be afraid

oooo yours sounds rapid! haha
how much have all your mods cost you so far? if you dont mind me asking :)

and its not so much that im a 0-60 guy its just its the best way to judge speed compared to my car now :)

Well the gt will feel like a rocket if u had a 1.0 corsa... Having boost is a whole new thing lol! I'd prefer to have the torque over anything, I can sit on motorway and when overtaking in 5th feels like I'm in 3rd, the torque is great. Just be wary on the clutch if you go all in.

cheers for all the info guys much appreciated :D

one last question;
what are they like cruising at 70 on the motorway, are they loud inside and do you have to rev the tits off em?

About 3k revs at 70 or there abouts, my k tec exhaust is abit drony inside around 70mph.... Which is why I cruise at 68 or so on a long journey

For highway/long distances the GT is proably more comfy (soundwise) than a 133.

I remapped my Wind GT and it was like driving a whole other car.

Remember when leaving from the tuner on to a roundabout I made a huge wheelspin and I basically went "ZOMGWTFBBQSAUCE"

The torque increase is the biggest improvement.
