So over the week end i got my insurance renewal in the post from Admiral £800.00!

To be fair i was paying £900 last year so least its come down in price.

But like you do good old confused.com gets a go and i get a insurance renewal from Tescos at £620 so even more of a saving there but once i go into the description bit it says it has 10 months not 12. when the 10 months are up will this mean i dont get a years no claims?

you do.. but... only with tesco, so if you tried to go elsewhere they would say you dont have that years no claims...

its called something like a no claims bonus accelerator.. (or something) and works if you stay with the same company

but thats how they get you in. and then put your prices up in a year or so,

Hmmm might keep looking then i just Pmed the forum Insurers so you never know might get a winner there.

But i know for sure Churchill will never have me back as a customer. They were more hassle then there worth going back about 3 - 4 years ago when i was hit by some **** in his ****** banged up fiesta i had only had my little GT a week aswell !!!!!!

I'm using Hastings now which isn't the cheapest but elephant was fairly. Cheap and then admiral as well. I used churchill for my 09 seat Ibiza when I first started driving and thought they were brilliant!

I'm with admiral. Come renewal it was horrific. Found a decent quote and they matched it. I love being with them, sucker for a bird with a welsh accent

If you have 5 or more years no claims, watch out for companies that only do a maximum of 5 years no claims.

I went with Norwich Union (now Aviva) and had 5 years NCB. Two years later, I went through the post office, who accept up to 9 years, but NU would only certify 5 years, instead of the 7 that I should have had.

Pretty sure Tescos don't do mods mate ;)

+1. :)

Got my renewal through last month, an increase in what I was paying beforehand. I was told it was due to inflation, recession etc...

Went on Confused, got a quote with Admiral (who I'm already with)...went through with the quote, told them I had an existing policy, matched it...saving £257!

I'm 23, Full UK with IAM, 5yrs no claims, £589 (10-month policy)

My renewal is due in the 28th of june was paying £900 but adrian flux quoted me £695 when i was up fcs with all my mods declared..

Im 22 Full Uk licence no points or convictions 5 years no claims £695 doesnt sound that bad to me

mine £1100 4 NCB but with 2 drivers 23/64 both fully comp, would of been around 850 mark if it wasnt for mods decleared :(

the only thing with admiral is u have to declare everything, i had to declare so much even though they are classed as accessories by renault, admiral class them as mods, even if they were on the car when it left the factory. just to warn u all.

i will be going with adrian flux, 400 pound everything declared including future plans

Sky Insurance called me tonight after work and the insurance qoute was good :)

I'm with swift mines like £600 quid, not happy with it but cheapest I could find at the time, I work for LV= n last year got my policy for like 450 with my discount but the changed what they insure and told me they wouldn't offer me a renewal!! have to wait till 25 so will try again next year, things done at factory not mods with Lv=

Just done mine.

Last year I was with Allianz (through a local broker). Renewal they quoted was over £550 which I thought was taking the p155.

Talked to the broker and they could get it down to about £380, which I still thought was on the high side.

So I went to the meerkats and did it through them with Hastings Direct. Total premium £252 with protected ncb and £100 excess.

Quite pleased with that

*cough*

£1500 Fully Comp...1 Years NCB, 3 Years UK Licence, Garaged.
That's it gone down by £40 a month too!!!!

Tried price comparison sites and the cheapest I got was £1600 with that "Insure the Box" company, because I was expecting my renewal to be more expensive, but it wasn't so I'm sticking with Diamond

Oh....and my name is madmatilda from now on :p
