When washing 133 I notice along the channels in the roof and at the painted edges of rear windows there are some tiny rust spots in the paint (pin head size)

When I rub my finger nail over them they appear to go, would this be iron oxidisation?

If so once I have clayed and waxed car will they come back? Hopefully not.
Not having much luck with body work so far!

Iron fillings which have landed on your paint and then oxidised. Have a look for iron-X which will disolve the metal. Claying may leave a bit of the metal particle stuck in the paint which could re-rust in the future.
