If you lower your car, it tends to have an effect on the tyre "life"?

If the suspension geometry stays the same and you don't change your driving style, the tyre life should not change.

However a large drop usualy means an increase in negative camber (on the front at least) this can cause more wear on the inner edge of the tyre. Not checking the tracking/toe angles after a drop will wear the tyres as they will not be pointing where they should and a degree of toe, out of the normal setting will wear a tyre in a few hundred miles

Also, the stiffer ride and less body roll allows you to corner faster whilst still having the same amount of control, so the tyres have more work to do. Hence wearing out faster.
