you could easily acheieve a selective colour in photoshop, but you can actualy do selective colour conversions in some cameras and probably as an app for the iphone.

Cloning out the garage door handle which looks like a boy racer spoiler sticking out, mowing the lawn by pasting in a swatch from somewhere else and correcting the diverging verticals would be photoshopping ;)

Now that's a comeback!

It wasn't a photoshop sorry if it wasn't with rules but thought you could brighten up the pic and on my iPhone I can "grey" out selected parts with an app

I checked the metadata tags for the picture when you first posted it, which is how i knew (suspected) it wasn't ps. (yes, the data can be editted to remove tags and insert fakes, but why bother).

Hdr techniques were originaly intended to allow a digital sensor to capure a higher range of tones than was possible, by combining multiple frames of under and over-exposed shots, to get the same tonal range of film. Now, it is a whole new style when pushed as far as software allows.

Brightening/darkening selected areas of a picture by dodging and burning isn't new... It's a darkroom technique from decades ago and was a developers art, much like selective colour where filters and masks were used. Now, it is much easier and quicker.

Wether the effect works to enhance a picture is questionable and everyones opinion will vary. Where to draw the line is the hard part, as most of my pictures are processed in ps as the raw file needs working to create a jpeg or something printable. I'll ammend the rules to clarify no image manipulation, of drastic changes to the composition by substituting backgrounds or mods that dont exist :)

Thanks :) that took about 5 hours to clean! But the result was worth it :)

Yeah i bet you spent quite some time on it!! I must take care of mine next month, complete wax treatment and everything once the modifications are finished, and get some decent pictures of it :)

All you need now is black interior ... :D
