If anyone hasn't seen him in action, or the car for that matter....... One of the many reasons I love fast Renaults and Rallying.......... I'll just leave this here..........

jean ragnotti was a champ, and it horrifies me to look at the current clio in comparison to that. the size and weight difference is genuinely scary, and the fact the old valver was a total drivers car with no electronic aids etc exept abs in later models. makes me have an accident really!

this is rather nice too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOlcNPGBSQE

I know dude it's crazy....... Proper heroes to drive cars like that! That time attack video is insane, I remember watching it after the time was published thinking wtf!! It goes like a scalded cat when it hits boost........ Bloody Nora!

all the group b rally cars with big boost that sounded like their engines were a bag of nails until you gave it a bit of throttle makes me have a small incident inside my boxers. i was always attracted to the little french cars though, the best car i've ever driven was the 2.0 L clio williams with throttle bodies that my friend used to own. there is something you get out of a small and fast french car that you just cannot get out of bigger cars regardless of price and power. i do like some older pugs, but i can firmly say citroen has never tickled my fancy. i've always thought of citroen as the runt of the litter, wonder if anyone agrees with me?

Agreed - coming from a Saxo to the 133 was poles apart to be fair. As for Group B I'm right there with ya pal.........

Group b was fantastic but after the 2 driver deaths in the last season it was band. There is a video on YouTube somewhere off HT crash with the radio traffic on it it's very chilling to watch and listen to.
AS_BO u should look into joining Durham motor club and do some things in the twingo. They hold a big rally in the grounds off the Nissan factory in September I was 10th over all and 2nd fwd last year in my standard car. There is also a good navigational championship all things you could do in the twingo!

Thanks Graeme, that sounds really interesting actually. My old man works at Nissan and I remember going there as a kid and watching Sunny GTI-Rs and Metro 6r4s fly round the compounds! Group B was insane, like you say the HT Crash in Corsica spelled the end really. Incredible machines, the Group S Delta S4 ECV was borderline ridiculous. If that had continued it would of definitely been too dangerous! Out of interest, what were you driving last year to place you so well?? Well done by the way!

Yep group b was utter madness! I was driving the twingo as you can enter in your road car. There was mk1 and 2 escorts sunbeams, lots of satria gti's, puma's you name it it was there. Full stage cars to standard! I will be hopefully running my Hillman Avenger this year but I have to build a puma stage car first lol

That's class!! Did you get any footage of it running??
