I'm claiming the link as my christmas present to all the TCE owners out there.

I feel sorry for your wallets

then you need to have your map adjusted to stop your torque all coming in one big lump, bring it in more progressive and it will be fine, i tested mine the other day towing a mates clio and 3rd gear, full throttle, 145lbft, no issues at all

i beleive westy (i think his name was) is also running 180lb/ft through his standard clutch (i dont remember him mentioning it being uprated - may have missed it though)

5th at 40 accelerate hard and mine slips when it's at 2k revs, my power delivery is stupid smooth if you check my thread for the graphs and that 147lbs/ft.

The clutch isn't great.

There is no reason why it would be made to deal with a 90% increase in torque as you claimed over standard martin, its a crap clutch lol.

so because there is no reason to make it deal with 90% extra torque then that makes it crap does it?

modifying a car and especially a turbo car is always going to put more stress on the drivetrain, however, i guarantee all the people suffering issues with twingo clutches when running a mear 145-150lbft are the same people who sit holding the car with the clutch at traffic lights etc.

I often get mistaken pulling off from the lights for miss daisy in a micra, only accelerate hard 3rd gear onwards.

I've never had my clutch slip and I've ragged this thing like a mother bitch (not all the time though).

Although 90 % of the times I drive like a gentleman.

But I've never had the feeling that it slipped.. for now.

Mine doesn't slip bad but if you are in fourth low revs and foot down it slips...
I don't use clutch to hold car, always neutral nd handbrake/foot brake.
