Well the Vxr is a different league to the 133 of course

Despite costing about £5k more when new, 2008 reg Corsa VXRs are selling for the same amount as 133s of the same age. Says it all really.

Depreciation is not really a measurement in terms of performance though...? The vxrs are a hoot and pretty cool. They just seem to have an image problem as far as I can tell. I personally don't like Vauxhalls but I appreciate a quick car when I see it

I didn't say that the VXR doesn't perform well, and I agree that it has an image problem.

I just think the fact that a £5,000 price difference has been eroded in 3 years, shows that the 133 is a better and more desirable car to own.

I'd have to agree since I bought a 133 but I don't see the Vxr as a step backwards like I thought was being suggested! :p

Each to their own at the end of the day!

Fast car to me is not only a car thats fast in a straight line.

Renault sees to do this right, they don't have cars with retarded alot of horsepower but a well balance of a good chassis with the right amounts of hp.

I've driven a Vxr and whilst there is pronounced torque steer it's by no means a poor car through the corners. Just the 197/200 has it licked :p like I said, after I drove it I didn't buy it as tbh it just didn't have the sparkle and the running costs etc and saving for a house put me off. But It wasn't a bad car in many ways.

To the OP good luck with your future purchase!

Nice first post lol but good luck with the VXR I like them but down here a lot of chavs seem to drive them
