As the title suggests.

2010, 24000 miles and seemingly a problem with a bush? Is this common for this mileage? I'm yet to get the thing up on jacks so I can see if it is something like that but it does seem like a short amount of time for it to fail.

Any other suggestions?

I had a knocky issue that sounded like it was suspension- but after I took it into renault it was actually that my boot latch was badly misaligned resulting in the lid knocking around when going over bumps.

I may be wrong - but its cheaper for you if it is :)

Hmm, thanks I shall check this one out. My original thought was the boot cover/tray that hangs from the lid and is possibly knocking on the plastic.

That did knock on mine too - I put some little rubber gromits from wilkos on the plastic :)

and answering my own question i may also check the spare wheel incase its got loose.

my main worry that is a top mount as its only happening on a certain steering angle.

Spare wheel does not seem to be loose. the plastic tool carry is no longer seated in the spare wheel, but seems secure.

had the thing up on jacks and had a pull about of steering and suspension linkages. no play in any of those. minimal play in the wheel bearings.

Its only happening, for instance, at the turning angle for going round a roundabout. Hit a bump on the left side and it makes this thud noise. The exhaust and heat shield are all secure too.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Cheers

I had a strange nocking too, thought it was the exhaust banging but it wasnt..

Turns out the bolt at the bottom of the shock wasnt very tight, tightend it and not heard it since, jack the car up and test them both

cheers guys will get these checked. the ARB links seemed secure but could not get a good look at the ARB bushes

To test a anti roll bar link u need the weight of the car on then so do not jack it up to check if u do so ur never get any play in them

well it turns out it is the ball joints. now the car is still under warranty and only has 25k on the clock. anyone else had these replaced under warranty as it seems really early for these to go. Ness motors have said "ball joints are a tricky one"???
