Morning people.

Last night I was driving, quite calmly, and pulled out of a small junction and I swear the car wasn't in gear. I assumed my fault, either way I swear as it went in I felt something odd, like something flicked off.

So I carry on as I'm by this point at my destination. As I head home later though I can hear a faint knocking as I drive.

It's now quite loud, I thought it had gone when I went around the block last night.

It's not as I pull away as far as I can tell. It's knocking as I come off the power and sometimes as I turn I think.

I'll get onto Renault but anyone want to diagnose?

Top mounts are solid and fine, the drop links look straight and as far as I could tell the tie rods were too. The upper engine mount was also fine.

Could it be either of the gear box mounts? If so, it could be a vibratechnics purchase soon

First thoughts personally, gearbox mount. Didn't someone have one snap on here not that long ago?

For reference: I had the upper engine mount and dogbone mount replaced which cured knocking when turning the engine off, and if you were in the wrong gear causing the car to judder

I would of thought it bangs as I pull away but this is constant hence looking for reassurance lol

It doesn't seem to be the upper gear box unless the pic is hiding something?

Sounds like same as mine replaced the dog bone mount with a vibra tecnics one and problem solved!

I'm gonna dive under the car and inspect that tonight. I've never looked at it, not visible with the under tray on?

Remove the two rear bolts holding the undertray on and fold it forward, should give plenty of room to check the mount. No need to remove it completely.

Gonna get my head under tonight to look.

Booked into Renault tomorrow morning too. If they can replace it I can have a spare for now and I'll order the vibratechnics mount.

Fixed :)

Anti roll bar drop link, snapped.

Thankfully a spare in the garage and all fine again, funny as I've barely driven the car since FCS and not hit anything resembling a pot hole or a large bump.
