anyone got this fitted its first time i have seen a front strut brace available to buy in the UK, will it make much of a difference to the handling?

Solid top mounts would be more noticeable. IMO, being as the strut tops are close to the bulkhead, theres not much point in further stiffening what will already be a relatively stiff area, whilst you still have rubber bushes to allow the top of the strut to move about slightly.
