I want to get a professional company to machine polish the car though, anyone know any good ones? Does monster detail do it?

Looking good, mate.

I'm afraid we don't currently offer machine polishing services, as we're too busy with the product sales.

There's a detailer called Russ, who's on quite a few Renaultsport forums, and his work looks very good.

Alternatively, would you consider getting a machine polisher/polish/pads and having a go yourself?

Worth while and probably not much difference in price (likely cheaper if you can spare a few hours yourself), plus you then have the kit to use again. DA polisher, 6" polishing pad, 6" finishing pad (smaller pads and backing plate if you want to get small areas on the bumpers but not essential for main panels), polishing compound, finishing compound (don't bother getting litre bottles as you only use a small amount).

Being as yours already looks good, I guess theres not a huge amount of work unless you want 100% perfection, which would probably leave you gutted in a month or two's time when you notice minor swirls again. It's fairly safe removing minor swirls and spider web type marks, unless your going mad, trying to completely remove deeper scratches which is when experience and a PTG becomes important. BMW paint is usualy hard, which picks up less damage but takes more time/effort to remove, making it a bit safer than a soft paint ... Besides, even taking the edge of a deep scratch makes it look loads better even though theres still some left

This was a 5 hours with a Dual Action (DA) polisher, to get from crap to fairly good.
