Please tell me you're joking right?

Because Gaddafi is a mad man bombing his own people. thousands of innocent lives have already been lost.

Nope thats what they was saying on the news they are looking at sending our lads out there !

Why its got nothing to do with us. Leave them to it i would say theres no point getting involved.

He is a crazy **** !!! He could drop a bomb on us when ever he wants

its because Libya is a country rich in oil, they wont tell u that but thats what it boils down to.

i think its ridiculous our boys have to get involved but Gaddafi needs stopping, hes killing innocent people

Libya know too much for their own good, Gaddafi is a war lord. Who in their right mind would shoot at their own people?? It's like me cyber bullying/keyboard warrioring against Karl because I don't like how the site is run, I'm sure all of you would step in and get me perma banned

If we don't step in, then all of Middle East will turn like this. Look at Bahrain, then..., Iran might get involved and all hell will break lose.

What did surprise me was the wording of the resolution, it basically gives the legal right for us to start yet another war..., *sigh*. Mr. Cameron's first war as PM, at least this one is legal unlike Iraq

Also, with all these spending cuts to the MOD, can we afford another war? Afghan, Iraq, Libya..., we're going to be in this for years, and guess who is going to pay for it? Us :x

least UK learnt its lesson and waited for UN order with backing from Africa, Arab and EU and the rest.

good luck to the RAF and Navy Pilots, did a great job getting the job man out at the expensive of their lifes and good speed.

just hope they dont use ground troops and stick to air and do the deed and let the Libyans do the last push.

This country always has it get itself involved in other countries problems! Like we havent got our own to concentrate on!

Apart from Turkey, and more importantly Russia and China.

I was watching the enws last night, and someone raised a good point..., if Libya were to shoot down one of our planes, would we send in ground troops to rescue the pilots...? Therefore leading to ground combat...!?

I think Rob meant that as in this thread being a joke because it's obvious why ;)

i always thought they'd just use misslies from the ships, lot safer and with Sat tracking and drones and keep pilots and troops away.

karl at your comment, there was a post about north korea adding 200,000 to its special forces now aimed at 1.5m troops, SAS has only 1000 including support :( hopefully rest of these Arab leaders will man up and step down.
but then again we did join world war 2 over a small town with a 300 year old treaty that the Nazi's never thought we'd hold up, just hopefully the need for troops to go in will be minimal.

looks like he couldnt push quick enough to crush rebels.
cant see the rebels argeeing unless he drops power and leaves

The ceasefire is political bullshish from Gaddafi. He's hoping that now he's called it, all military action will also cease, i.e. no bombing of airforce/military bases, strategic routes into Benghazi.
