My car has been treated by the dealers with a product called life shine. Has anyone any experience with this product

Yes. Not bad, but not usually applied properly and massively over exaggerated by salesmen. The garages make little money on their cars usually and it's these additional services where dealerships tend to make back money, and these are massively oversold.

If you paid trade and applied it at home yourself it's not actually that bad.

:D Got it thrown in for free.

How long does it last? Wondering if I should wait for a bit to wax?

Well my Mrs had it applied to her car for free although hers was G3 Glasscoat.

Beading lasted around 3 months being washed with PH neutral shampoo. Then I polished it and applied my own wax to the car.

For free it was ok but I wouldn't pay for it. I actually got the same product given to me in the car and the list of specific requirements for applying it are way beyond the average valeter who'd be applying it. Put simply the car needs to be cleaned, clayed and polished before it's applied. Then it needs to be left for X amount of time and buffed.

I would imagine the care is cleaned (just) then this stuff smothered on and then buffed off. I'm assuming a lot but I can't imagine a dealers valeter being given the time to prep it like it requires.
