Does anyone know if Renault dealers keep a set of master locking wheel nut keys, ( friend said skoda had a full set when he lost his key)

As i have lost the key and the box they come in, just wondered what my.options are, unless Renault have a master set from which to order a replacement from?

If skoda have a master set surely Renault do as well?

 :(

Or if that fails how much would i be looking at for some new ones?

When my sister had her mini services by BMW/mini they forgot to give the key back but completely refused they still had it and said

"oh well you must have lost it when we gave it you, we can order a new one but it will be £30."

After I went with her the next day they then said, we will post you it when the mechanic gets back, didn't arrive after a week like they said so I went back with her and they 'forgot' to post it and handed it over the counter.

Just shows if you look young and go to a BMW/mini main dealer garage expect to be treated like a child unless you argue your point and prove them wrong!

So, if you skipped all the off topicyness, yes you can order a new one but make sure they get the right one

Doesn't surprise me, i try not to go to dealers unless i really have too

Yep you can order a new one through the dealers, also helps if you still have the locking wheel nut key code number? Normally written on a card placed inside the box.

Nope, the entire l set has gone, looks like IM going to have to get a welder to it got free access to a welder so will only have to buy a full set of locking nuts instead of the 150 Renault want

Having just had my wheels off and remembering this thread, I looked for my key code and theres nothing in the box... Hoping for the best, I checked the service book and theres a sticker in the back of the book with the key code :)

FCS will be the next run south ;)

Hoping to attend, but sadly miss dw wont be able to come so going to run it past my brother so nothing certain yet.

My key has just shredded!

The garage clearly did one wheel up so tight and they've shredded a locking nut, which I thought looked odd but proceeded. Now got one wheel stuck on. Suggestions?

I believe the standard procedure is to get someone who can weld to weld a stick to it and get it of that way

And then replace the nuts :/

Yep. Not cheap really. Going in tomorrow for it. But she's got the backs low and the fronts standard. Looks stupid as hell. Sooo angry

Fixed. Ain't nothing my hammer can't sort.

Broken anyway, so placed over offending bolt, rubber mallet, big hit. Came off easy peasy...

Just gotta order a new key now

Hammers are there for a reason

Smashing crap and making things move that don't want to
