Hey,

Had to work in london today,

Got there pretty early so i went and had a coffee looking out over Tower bridge it was an awesome view.

I had some great time for reflection and it helped clear a few things off my mind, i wrote alot of stuff down which helped. .... i took a few pictures of the view i had

i hate the travelling into/out of london but it is a special place in the sun...

Was that from South or North of the river?

I work just up the road, not far from the Gherkin. :)

It can be a grim place at times but on the right day it can look amazing in places.

Erm.... North i think ( i was working in tower bridge house)

I know what you mean.. some days = horrid

in the sun though... it is lovely sometimes!

Yeah when the sun is out and you get to stand out and have a pint it's a nice place to be.

Nothing more grim than walking across London Bridge when it's cold and raining!! lol

i must admit, when ever i visit i fall in love with the place all over again and think i need to live here, its a nice place to be i think. some nice sites and it doesnt seem to matter that everything is far more expensive than anywhere else. nothing like finding a nice spot with a view and pondering which isnt hard to find in london

I'm with you on that Bones, as much as it's good working there, pay is better and a good night life, I couldn't live there.

For me it's ideal living a 30 minute train journey away but far enough out to have plenty of green places and peace and quiet.

Sadly I can't see fields but I can if I walk to the end of the road haha.

You definitely need that open space sometimes.

Tbh, the only time I go there is usually for a long weekend to watch the almighty Spurs!

Went last month and stayed in the Hilton next to Wembley, nice and easy to travel into Central London

Since I live in N.Wales, the only city we have near is Bangor, which is just the size of an average town but has a cathedral (ooooooooooooooooooooooo) so dont really see it as a city. Next is chester (45mins away) then Manchester/Liverpool (1.5 hours ish)

im surrounded by trees, fields and countryside. it has amazing roads round here but it gets boring, think thats why i love london so much coz theres soooo much to do all hours of the day

"A person, usually from a rural area, the south or small town; who speaks or behaves in a manner that indicates a lack of understanding of the ever changing, modern world. Country bumpkins tend to speak in terms of social overtones indicative of pre-civil rights America and characteristically speak in offensive terms without knowledge of doing so. A bumpkin is more ignorant than uneducated, though most are probably uneducated. Either way, educated or not, country bumpkins are neccesarily ignorant. Country bumpkins come in every ethnicity and in both genders."

I wouldn`t say i`m like this thou hahaha but did make me laugh :)

Hahaha yeah I'd say it's a bit of a harsh description.

Then again my gf's family are definitely bumpkins, no doubt about it. lol

When I was a student, one of our buildings looked out on Tower Bridge. It was called City of London Polytechnic back then, but it's now a University.

Hahaha that is awesome!

My missus was a bumpkin and now lives just outside London with me.............I won't show her that article hahaha
