Sausage n egg muffin as a meal, with a coffee is £3.19 and comes with a hash brown.

Sausage n egg muffin with a coffee is £3.28, but the poor lad couldn't grasp why i wanted a meal without the hashbrown

I work at Maccies, and the till is so friggin ****.. Prices are stupid for single items and the meals aren't filling!
Although, staff discount is awesome, I can get any breaky meal for £1.99, any main menu meal for £2.29 and any promotional meal (such as the amazing BigTasty) for £3.29 where as you would pay nearly £6!!?
Mwuhahah. Plus my mates 'forget' to put a few things through the till for me

I'd have thought you'd get it free.

I put it this way, I think my multi million pound rich store owner won't mind me having an extra cheeseburger worth 19p for working so much harder than everyone else :D and I get a free meal on my break

I used to be a shift manager at McDonald's, there is no logic from a customers point of view but I guess that's why it's called an extra value meal? Lob the hash brown if you don't want it, or I'll have it nom nom

I get the whole point about upselling but having two parts costing more than the whole lot doesn't make any sence at all.

To me, the two most expensive parts should at least come to the same price (or maybe 1p less) than the whole. I know the business profit answer here would be to put up the price for the meal

the obvious answer to this clearly puzzling conundrum would b to not step inside the hellish grips of the golden gates
