This was one possibility but is quite far. Our hotel is right in the hub of the city; beach is 5 mins away but if we're too lazy theres a pool on the roof.

I want to see the Everglades.

Bought a pocket guidebook of Amazon earlier so I'm sure that will help.

Also - Head to one of "The cheesecake factory" restaurants. There's lots of them in florida (especially around Miami) and the ones I've been to have all be AWESOME. They do great main meals too, but to wet the desert appetite,

Make sure u visit south beach. Unreal. Also, can't remember the name of it but they have some kind of super club with about 8 dance floors. Holds thousands of people

Went to the one in san francisco, absolutely awesome, hated san francisco, but my god the cheese cake was good.

I agree with a Trip down to the Keys
Everglades, only really drove through them so can't comment.
A trip over to St. Petes, Cocoa Beach and Orlando's worth the drive

Any room for some Oversized baggage? :lol:
