Well where do I start! I sed when I first joined 133.net that I would put a build thread for a rally car build so
hear goes .
I was supposed to be building a puma road rally car first but looks like the clio is now getting dun first.
Few pix of my last build that is a 1973 Hillman Avenger that had a zetec conversion dun and was the second ever dun.
Now Back to the clio! I have had the car for a few years now and have dun local road rallys,12 cars and track days with it. Current spec is 1800 rsi fully rebuilt engine with k&n filter and power flow exhaust, adjustable Gaz
suspension all round, fully polly bushed, big brakes, drilled discs and rally pads bucket seats and harnesses and half cage and toyos all round. I have been trying to sell it to make room in the garage but everyone looks at it and sees a old clio! but more fool them! Just ask the lads on clio sport how quick this little car is lol.
So the Plan!
Car will now be getting converted into a stage car as it only needs the safety equipment sorting as for what I want the rest of the car is good enuff for what I want. So new cage,seats,belts,sun roof taking out, mud flaps ect.
The aim will be to get the car dun before September so I can do our local motor club event at Nissans test track in sunderland and then the 2 events at croft begining of next year and the Mull Rally October next year. The car will be driven by both myself and my dad.
This is how the car looks now.
Still have some bits left to fit now as it stands.
Now all I need to do now is get off my arse and go get the car dug out the garage as its curently blocked in by other cars !
